St. Jude the Apostle

St. Jude Thaddeus is the patron saint of desperate and hopeless cases. He is pictured wearing a necklace with heart of Christ representing the imprint of the Divine Countenance that was entrusted to him by Jesus. Also he has a “tongue of fire” on his forehead to symbolize the Day of Pentecost, which has been identified as the beginning of his preaching ministry.
